Gettysburg

We stopped in Gettysburg to spend some time with our oldest son and his family.  Gettysburg is where the closest campgrounds are to their home in Maryland.  We went to a tractor show much to the delight of Dad and Grandpa.  We enjoyed getting to know this delightful young man and watch him practice his walking and talking.

On another day we traveled to the Lancaster, PA area to Intercourse and Bird in Hand to go through the fabric stores.  This time we noticed more Amish people working in the fields and shopping in the stores.  This is one mode of transportation and this young lady was actually barefoot.

We discovered that in Hershey they were having an RV Show that was listed as America's Largest RV show.  We planned to spend a couple of hours and ended up walking through the area for 6 hours and still didn't see it all.  We were able to take a peek at the Airstreams which are gorgeous inside.  If we decide to buy a new RV some day we have a couple picked out that would be nice to have.  Plus lots of literature on future campgrounds that would love to have us come and stay.  :)

Another activity we enjoy is walking around the Civil War battlefields and reading all the monuments.  You can almost see and feel the battles that were fought there.  So many lives lost.

And what summer trip would be complete without a visit from the King himself.  This one was not as good at being Elvis as ones we have seen before but it is fun to sing along.
