My past post was missing some pictures so I will attempt to get them posted here.  First here is the picture of Frank discouraging the mother grouse.
And the next picture was of a sunset seen from the back of our RV.
Beginning in the 1860’s a large amount of copper was mined in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The National Park Service is partnering with local historic landmarks to preserve the history of this area.  Participating in mine tours is not something I care to do as I am a bit claustrophobic.  After discussing the tour with the ticket seller, I decided to take the tour of the Quincy mine. After all I grew up on a street by the name of Quincy.
There is a bridge that spans the canal which connects Houghton where we are staying and Hancock. It has been nice to walk to downtown Houghton for breakfast and this morning we as we walked along the canal the bridge was raised to allow a medium sized ship to pass underneath.

On another morning we walked across the bridge to another local cafe for breakfast.
