Campground Activities
Some campgrounds have activities for campers and the one we are staying in has weekly fun things for all. Sunday night a magician performs, Monday is movie night, Wednesday Elvis entertains us and Friday night is Bingo. We attended the Elvis show our first week here and after being serenaded, I now have a turquoise scarf. We have been to Bingo 3 times and I won a candy bar and just last Friday I won a nice little cooler. Behind our RV was an apple tree that had lots of ripening apples so one afternoon Frank decided to use his childhood method of throwing an apple into the tree to get the apples to drop to the ground. The result was a delicious apple pie with some leftover for another pie soon.

I haven't checked your blog in quite a while, since I knew you were not blogging from the RV park that didn't have free internet access. I don't blame you. But now I've caught up and I am enjoying reading about your activities. Congratulations on your 31st annivesary. Not many are making 30, 40 and 50 years together any more. We celebrated our 43rd anniversary on September 9th. I sure don't want to have to break in another husband, so I hope we have another 43 years together.
Sorry to hear about all the trouble you are having with the truck, but at least it is still under warranty. Bummer - somethings like car problems can really throw you off schedule - but I'm not sure if you have a strict schedule or not now that you've had your family reunion.
Must get ready for cards this afternoon. Keep in touch. When are you coming home?

P.S. Aren't you glad you don't live near a creek. Pam and Mark Atkinson were spending the summer in WI as they usually do. Their house was flooded and it took a couple of days of steady driving for Pam to see the damage to their house. Mark hasn't yet returned to TX, so Pam is doing everything on her own. She is staying with a friend while she tries to clean up. I don't think many places could withstand 15.5" of rain in 36 hours and not have some flooding. Lucky us in N10.
Terri: Glad you have had 43 years together. Told Frank's doctor that I want at least 20 more years with Frank. I heard there were some homes flooded but didn't realize Pam and Mark's was one of them. What a mess. See you around the 15th of October.
