Still Deciding

Procrastination must be an art because I think I am pretty good at it. Recently I finished a quilt and probably spent more time on deciding how to machine quilt it than I actually did sewing it. And sewing takes time. Thanks goodness for Frank who helps in making these decisions as I rely on him to bounce ideas and to have him make recommendations. As a result I have finally completed this quilt and can concentrate on my next machine quilting project.

The picture to the left shows the detail of the quilting. I used contrasting color thread and some of the decorative stitches on my machine to add some interest to the borders. I have one more quilt top ready to be sandwiched and quilted and then I will allow myself to start on a brand new one from scratch.

A couple of weeks ago I attended the Houston Int'l Quilt Festival and am truly inspired to create more with my sewing abilities. Although I like the process of quilting, I also enjoy making purses and finished this one just recently.
I have made several of these and with the completion of this purse have used up the last of this fabric which I really loved. There is more "purse" fabric just waiting to be stitched.

Back to the subject of procrastination and the title of this post. I am still putting off the decision of whether or not to keep this blog but for now I will talk about my quilting/sewing adventures until we decide to take off on another RV adventure.

Stay tuned. :)
