Campgrounds

Here is what we encountered when we returned to our RV at the Gettysburg Campground in PA yesterday. I originally thought they put the snowman on the roof of the check in station to help us get through these hot, humid days. Apparently this campground is celebrating Christmas in July and several campsites were all decorated as if it were the holidays. Our thermometer hit the 102 mark today and the heat index was supposed to be 106.

Here is another cool spot and a much better swimming pool than the one we encountered in West Virginia. I was able to get my swimming "fix" a couple of times. Had a nice swim at 10:00 am the other morning all by myself. Life is good.

On Monday we will be heading toward Maine and hopefully some cooler temperatures. Of course after each campground we leave these past weeks it is sad to leave our family that we have visited but know that we will come this way again.

Hi Barb,
What adventures! We are back from Europe and trying to find 'normal' again. I have been asked to participate in a focus group for the food pantry as they expand services and offerings to friends and neighbors. One of the things changing is the lingo. No longer 'clients' but 'individuals' and 'families'. It is wonderfull to work with such caring professionals. We all miss you!
